Peilomat is a German rock trio formed in 2004 in Hamburg, named after lead vocalist Florian Peil. The members met during a pop course at the Musikhochschule Hamburg in April 2004 and decided to continue as a band after a summer rehearsal. Their first public appearance was on 29 October 2004 at a birthday party in Cologne’s Rather Hof, followed by the release of a five‑track demo EP on the internet in 2005. In 2007, under Klinkt/Universal Music, the group released the single "Großstadtkinder" which entered the German charts at position 97, and the album Großstadtkinder on 14 September 2007. The band toured extensively in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and collaborated with German singer Elton on the 2008 single "Allemann" for the European Championship, reaching the Top 30. In 2011, Icherzähler was issued through Edel Records. After the departure of drummer Henning Marien in April 2011, the group ceased further releases, and no subsequent activity has been documented.
