14 Iced Bears, a British indie pop band formed in Brighton in 1985 by Robert Sekula and Nick Emery. Known for their jangly indie pop sound influenced by protopunk guitar tones, the group featured a shifting lineup centered around Rob Sekula and Kevin Canham. Their initial releases included the EP Inside (1986) and the single "Balloon Song / Like a Dolphin" (1987). The band gained modest critical acclaim and recorded sessions for John Peel's BBC radio program. In 1988, they released their debut album, 14 Iced Bears, "Come Get Me" (1988), "World I Love" (1989), and Wonder in 1991. The band disbanded in 1992 but reformed in 2010 for tours across the US and London, including a John Peel night. In 2013, they released Hold On Inside: Complete Recordings 1991–1986, a retrospective compilation of their work.
