Kris De Bruyne, born Kristiaan De Bruyne on March 20, 1950, in Antwerp, Belgium, sang and played guitar. De Bruyne gained prominence in the music scene with a distinctive style that blended folk, kleinkunst, and rock elements. Early career milestones include joining the duo Lamp & Lazerus to form the group Lamp, Lazerus & Kris, releasing the album Lamp, Lazerus en Kris (1971).
