Born on February 13, 1977 in Hull (Canada), Hugo Lapointe is a Quebec rock singer. He is also the brother of singer Éric Lapointe. He studied music at Cégep Lionel-Groulx and played in bars. He released his first album, Célibataire , in May 2004. The title track, as well as the songs "Les Allumeuses" and "On fait l'amour ", hit the Quebec radio charts. In February 2007, he released his second album, La Trentaine , which included two covers of classics: Tex Lecor's "Le Frigidaire " and Beau Dommage's "23 décembre ". In 2010, he released a self-titled album, on which he called on a number of artists to write his songs, including Daniel Lavoie, Daniel Boucher, Lynda Lemay and Luc De Larochellière. He recorded his fourth career album, La Suite, in the summer of 2013, on which he again received original songs from several artists. Hugo Lapointe presents the compilation Moi J'Suis Qui in 2014, on European markets in digital format. Fall 2o18 sees the release of his fifth album, Mon Arc Est une Guitare.
