Returning We Hear The Larks is the progressive metal solo project of Jack Noble from Bristol, UK. He began his musical career in 2004 and formed Returning We Hear The Larks in 2008. Inspired by a visit to Belgium's World War I battlegrounds, he released his first EP, Langemark. His debut full-length album, Ypres, was released in 2010 and gained significant attention within the early djent scene of the 2010s. Notable for its World War One-themed full-length, Ypres was distributed to major online retailers such as iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify. Noble's second full-length album, Far-Stepper/of Wide Sea, was released in 2013, marking what he initially stated would be the end of the project.
