Rising Shadows, a neoclassical dark wave band from Stockholm, Sweden, was formed in 1996 by composer Fredrik Klingwall. Initially started as a one-man project under the name Shadow of the Concealed, Rising Shadows released their debut album Falling Deep Within in 2006 through Argentinian label Twilight Records. The album showcased songs rich with medieval and Nordic folk influences, marking a significant breakthrough for the band. In 2008, they released their second album Found in the Cold, which featured former Katatonia bassist Guillaume Le Huche. Their third album, Finis Gloriae Mundi, was released in 2011 with contributions from various session musicians including Mattias Olsson on percussion and KG Westman on sitar. The band also appeared on compilations such as A Tribute to Uglakh (2005) and Radio Rivendell (2006).
