Liferuiner, a Canadian straight edge metalcore group formed in 2004 in the Greater Toronto Area, began as a tongue‑in‑cheek project with vocalist Jonny O'Callaghan. Their breakthrough came with the 2007 release of No Saints, followed by the 2008 album Taking Back the Night Life after signing with Uprising Records. In 2011, the band issued the EP Sons of Straight Edge. The 2013 album Future Revisionists appeared under InVogue Records. After a period of touring with bands such as Doom Cannon and Gates, Liferuiner disbanded in 2016.
