The Broadways was an American punk ensemble from Chicago established in 1996. The group consisted of the musicians Brendan Kelly, Dan Hanaway, Chris McCaughan, and Rob DePaola. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by punk rock and socio-political lyrics. The ensemble was founded after the dissolution of the ensemble Slapstick. Their recording career began with the debut eponymous extended play We All Know That You Can Do It (1997) released on the label Bicycle Records. The Broadways achieved professional recognition for a musical direction characterized by the avoidance of traditional verse-chorus structures. Their discography included the debut studio recording Broken Star (1998) released on the label Asian Man Records. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the extended play Big City Life (1998). The group became inactive in late 1998. Their recording career included the compilation recording Broken Van (2000). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for reissuing their recordings on vinyl and CD in 2008. They achieved professional recognition for performing a reunion concert at the Riot Fest in 2013.
