Vedera, an American indie rock band from Kansas City, Missouri, was formed in 2003 as Veda by Kristen May, Brian Little, Jason Douglas, and Drew Little. The group initially gained traction with their six-song EP This Broken City in 2004. In 2005, they released their first full-length album, The Weight of an Empty Room, which led to a name change to Vedera due to legal issues. Vedera toured extensively, opening for acts such as the All-American Rejects and the Fray. They signed with Epic Records in 2007 and released their second studio album, Stages, in 2010, which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Vedera disbanded in 2011.
