4 to the Bar is a German lounge band from Frankfurt. Formed in 1990 by musician Andreas Stroh, the ensemble’s musical style combines elements of jazz, swing and soul. The group produces recordings in its own studio and performs a repertoire of original compositions and cover songs. During its career, the band has performed at high-profile events including the opening of the Adlon Hotel in Berlin, the World Economic Forum in Davos and celebrations for the publications Spiegel and Stern. The ensemble has also given concerts at Formula 1 races in Monaco and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Their recording history included the studio albums Blue Casino Moon (1996), Club Royale (1998) and Samba Bianco (2000). The group subsequently issued the studio recordings Your Heart Is Too Slow (2012) and Rock EnVogue (2013).
