FM2000 is a Finnish alternative metal and punk band from Pieksämäki, founded in 1999 by members Sebü, Rota, and Kosmo. The group initially self-financed several albums and demos before gaining significant recognition in February 2009, when they won the Finnish Metal Award for "Best Demoband" at the Helsinki Metal Expo. This success led to a recording contract with Sakara Records and the release of their debut studio album, Meibi bus home?, in March 2009. The album reached number 28 on the Finnish charts and earned comparisons to System of a Down. Later that year, the band released the EP Yes, Sir!, which peaked at number 9. In 2010, they were named "Best Newcomer" at the Finnish Metal Awards and released the album Opium grilli. FM2000 continued to expand its discography with Carina II in 2014 and Hubba Bubba Rehab in 2017. The band released the studio album Happohotelli in 2024.
