Dwntwn, pronounced “Downtown,” is an American indie rock/pop band from Los Angeles, formed in 2010 by Jamie Leffler and Robert Cepeda. The group initially began as a duo, with the members spending several years writing songs and developing their sound before expanding into a four-piece. In 2012, French label Kitsuné released their debut single, “See My Eyes,” which received critical attention and reached number 2 on Hype Machine’s popular chart. Their Red Room EP, released that year, featured prominent synthesizers and drew comparisons to Ellie Goulding, Dev, and Sia. Dwntwn later released the singles “Til Tomorrow” and “Missing You,” followed by their self-titled EP on Jullian Records in April 2014. The group also toured with Capital Cities and Golden Field.
