Gaëtan Cruchet, also known as Gaëtan, was born on November 10, 1974, in Geneva, Switzerland, and is a singer-songwriter. He began his musical journey at six years old at the Institut Jaques-Dalcroze, followed by piano studies at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève.
His breakthrough came with the release of his first children's album, 37 chansons courtes pour petits et grands, in 2001. He continued to produce albums for young audiences, including "Les chocottes" (2012) and "Zingoingoin" (2015). His work often features collaborations with notable artists such as Sanseverino, Yann Lambiel, and Roby Seidel. His albums are illustrated by Pierre Cendors and recommended by Swiss educational experts. He embarked on extensive tours across Switzerland, France, and Haiti, culminating in a 10th anniversary concert at the Opéra de Lausanne in 2014. He hosted a children's radio program on LFM Radio in 2019, launched his one-man show Gaëtan, ses comptines de OUF ! in 2018, celebrated 20 years in entertainment in 2021, and has presented a weekly youth program on RTS1 since the same year.
