Ala dos Namorados is a Portuguese pop band formed in 1992 in Portugal. The group originated from the collaboration of João Gil, Manuel Paulo, and João Monge, who were subsequently joined by guitarist José Moz Carrapa and vocalist Nuno Guerreiro. The band's name was derived from a wing of the Portuguese army in the Battle of Aljubarrota. The group's self-titled debut studio album, Ala dos Namorados, was released in 1994, followed by Por Minha Dama in 1995 and Alma in 1996. In 1998, the group achieved significant commercial success with the platinum-certified live album Solta-se o Beijo. Following the departure of Carrapa, the band released the gold-certified album Cristal (2000). Gil later left the group, and the remaining members released Mentiroso Normal in 2007. After a hiatus from December 2008 to 2012, the group reunited to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a live concert. The band subsequently released the studio albums Razão de Ser (2013), Felicidade (2014), and Vintage (2017).
