Nabil Hassoute, known professionally as Naab, was born in 1973. He is a French electronic musician. Naab began his career in the early 1990s with the rap group Hee Soon before shifting his attention to songwriting. His first significant release was the maxi-single L'Etranger in 1999, featuring Roya Arab of Archive, on Island Records. In March 2002, Naab signed with Bloom Records for his second album Salam Haleikoum, which featured collaborations with Sofiane Saidi and Jérôme Kérihuel. His third album, Democrisis, was released in 2008.
