American Gypsy, a funk music group, was formed in Los Angeles. They initially performed under names like Blue Morning and Orpheus. Their breakthrough came with singles "Lady Eleanor" and "Angel Eyes " both in 1974, achieving significant success in the Netherlands by reaching a top ten hit on the Single Top 100 Dutch pop music chart that same year. The group released several albums including Angel Eyes (1974) and Love is A Hazard (1981). Notable songs include "Yo Yo" (1977) and "The Champ" (1984).
