Michael Roe is an American singer, songwriter and record producer born 12 October 1954 in San Jose, California. He was a founding member of the groups Lost Dogs and the 77s. With the 77s, he contributed to the albums Ping Pong over the Abyss (1982) and All Fall Down (1984). Roe released several solo albums beginning with Safe as Milk in 1995, and The Boat Ashore (1996). His instrumental collaborations with Mark Harmon included the 1999 recordings Orbis and Daydream. In the 2000s, his work included the albums Say Your Prayers (2002), All Day Sing and Dinner on the Ground (2003) and We're All Gonna Face the Rising Sun (2009). Roe's later projects included the albums Guadalupe (2014) and Gothic (2016).
