Fake Shamans are a duo from Lahore, Pakistan and has incredible passion and love for electronic music that has pushed them to create their own imprint and ensure a place in the electronic music industry with innovative and fresh sound.
With incredible releases on Lump Records, Wildfang Music, Crossings and the well-respected record label Akbal Music, Fake Shamans are also running their own record label by name of Fake Rituals as well. Fake Shamans have worked with multiple classical Pakistani artists to create Sufi-fusion with Electronic music.
They collaborated and performed a live set with brilliant musicians like Aizaz Sohail, Rakae Jamil and Farhan Ali at Lahore Music Meet 2020 which was one of the highlight of the event. They have also showcased on some of the biggest platforms locally and Internationally like 5 Senses Thailand, Kerfuffle Cambodia, Pisco Bar Malaysia, Salt Arts, The Colony and Ministry of Sound. Fake Shamans have been touring across the Asia since early 2019 and one of the most exciting project they recently worked on was for The New York time journalist Ian Urbina in which they created music through Journalism for a ground breaking project “The Outlaw Ocean” Fake Shamans have also been featured on BBC, The Urban List Melbourne, Adventure.com, Crack Magazine UK and Touradar.
Their musical spectrum is somewhere between Shamanic drums, Oriental Melodies, and Wholesome Emotions with the presence of tiny dark tastes and of course: Groove
