Alpha & Omega are a British roots dub duo comprising bassist Christine Woodbridge and keyboardist John Sprosen. Formed in the mid-1980s, they combined analogue and digital production techniques to create a distinctive dub sound rooted in reggae traditions. After releasing a home-recorded cassette in 1988, they signed with Greensleeves Records, which supported their own A&O label. The duo also collaborated with Jah Shaka by providing rhythm tracks. Influenced by pioneers such as Lee "Scratch" Perry, King Tubby, and Augustus Pablo, Alpha & Omega developed a style widely regarded as uniquely British. Their prolific output, including the album Mystical Things (2000), earned praise for preserving classic reggae and dub traditions. Other notable releases include Show Me a Purpose (2001), The Half That's Never Been Told (2014), One by One (2017), and Shadrach, Mesach and Abednego (2020).
