The Soft Pink Truth is an experimental house and electronic music side-project formed by Drew Daniel, who is also one-half of the electronic music duo Matmos. Daniel launched the project on a dare from Matthew Herbert to produce a house record. Early EP releases such as Do It Quite Sloppily (2001) and PromoFunk (2002) led to the debut album, Do You Party? (2003), which featured a cover of the Vanity 6 song “Make Up”. The follow-up album, Do You Want New Wave or Do You Want the Soft Pink Truth? (2004), consisted entirely of house covers of classic punk and hardcore songs. Subsequent albums include Why Do the Heathen Rage? (2014), which featured electronic interpretations of black metal classics, Why Pay More? (2015), Shall We Go on Sinning So That Grace May Increase? (2020), Am I Free to Go? (2020), Is It Going to Get Any Deeper Than This? (2022), and Can Such Delightful Times Go On Forever? (2026).
