Edouardo, born Eduardo Pisani in Naples, Italy, on April 25, 1954, is an Italian singer, writer, poet, and painter. After relocating to France in 1985, he achieved national notoriety in 1995 with his single “Je t'aime le lundi”, which sold 40,000 copies. In 1996, he released his debut studio album, Edouardo l'Album, produced alongside Jacques Marouani, followed by his second studio album, Edouardo.con, in 2001. As an actor, he appeared in the 1998 feature film Terror of Prehistoric Bloody Creature from Space playing the role of Dino, as well as short films directed by Frédéric Vignale, including Réserve naturelle in 2006 and L'Impasse in 2007, co-creating the web comedic series Les Frères Étienne with Vignale in 2007. His literary works include his autobiographical novel Signe particulier : Edouardo in 2007 and poetry collections Miettes et cetera in 2023 and Et dans mes veines Coule la Lave du Vésuve in 2025. Beginning in 2016, he repeatedly ran as a candidate for election to the Académie française.
