EiLEMA is the world’s second rhythm’n’grunge band from Budapest, Hungary. The first was formed in 2016 under the name „Amáliák”. The band released one EP called Patchwork in 2018. It was quite well received among the small Budapest underground scene and the first concerts also took place.
In 2019 after a change in the lineup, EiLEMA was formed and released its debut EP Take Wing in November 2019. Our friend, Dávid Szabó, lead singer of Slowmesh called our music rhythm’n’grunge the first time and it describes so well what the essence of EiLEMA’s music is about that we use it ever since. We grew up in the 90s, love the sound of that era and the sincere and humble attitude towards music. We have quite a lot of depression in our music, but we also try not to take ourselves too seriously (seriously: who forms a band in his/her early 40s???)
