Paris Violence is a French punk rock and oi! group from Paris, formed in 1994 around the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Flavien Bertran de Balanda, known as Flav. The band's early work featured a punk rock and oi! sound, influenced by groups like Métal Urbain and Pigalle, as well as the French singer Renaud. Between 1995 and 1998, they released four demo cassettes, which garnered attention in the underground press. In 1998, their first official releases included the single “Humeurs noires” and the split single “Violence urbaine”, followed by their debut studio album Temps de crise. Flav continued to produce albums, including Mourir en novembre (2000), which received broader distribution and media coverage. The band's discography also includes the studio album En attendant l'apocalypse (2003) and compilations such as Du futur faisons table rase (2009) and L'Avenir commence mal (2012). Flavien Bertran de Balanda died on January 19, 2022.
