Axiom of Choice is a world music group based in southern California, comprising Iranian émigrés. The band was led by Loga Ramin Torkian, who played a variant of guitar designed to play quarter tones. Axiom of Choice blended Persian classical music with other Middle Eastern and Eastern influences. Their debut album Beyond Denial was released in 1995. Subsequent albums include Niya Yesh (2000) and Unfolding (2002).
