Prodige Namor was a French hip-hop group from Marseille. Formed in the mid-1990s by Jean-Michel Steyer, known professionally as Namor, the group also included Saïd Radjiabou, Maroco, and DJ Majestic. In 1997, the group released the self-produced maxi single “Bienvenue dans le traquenard”. Their debut album, L'heure de vérité, was produced by Crépuscule France and distributed by PIAS on March 8, 1999. The recording featured guest appearances by artists such as Mystik, Faf Larage, and Freeman on conceptual interludes, as well as collaborative performances with Stress from Double Pact, Soprano from Psy 4 de la rime, Rockin' Squat from Assassin, and Kery James from Ideal J. The group disbanded informally in 2000. Following the split, Namor focused on running writing workshops at La Friche Belle de Mai and subsequently formed the collective Al Iman Staff, releasing the album Mets les gosses à l'abri in 2005. Saïd Radjiabou joined the group IAM for live performances.
