Shirley & Lee, an American musical duo, was formed in 1952 by Shirley Goodman and Leonard Lee. After recording a demo of "I'm Gone" at Cosimo Matassa’s studio, they were signed by Aladdin Records, where producer Dave Bartholomew helped launch their debut single "I'm Gone" in 1952; the track reached number 2 on Billboard’s R&B National Best Sellers chart in January 1953. Their follow‑up releases include "Feel So Good" (1955) and "Let the Good Times Roll" (1956). Their album Let the Good Times Roll was issued the same year. After moving to Warwick Records, they re‑issued "Let the Good Times Roll" in 1961 and later recorded for Imperial Records before disbanding in 1963. The duo reunited briefly in 1972 and appeared on The Midnight Special in 1974, when Shirley Goodman released the disco single "Shame, Shame, Shame". Lee died of a heart attack in 1976 at age 40. Goodman retired from the music industry in the late 1970s, suffered a stroke in 1994, and died on July 5, 2005, in Los Angeles.
