The Brooks is a Canadian funk, soul, and jazz group from Montreal, Quebec, formed in 2013. The band's members include Alexandre Lapointe, Alan Prater, Maxime Bellavance, Philippe Look, Philippe Beaudin, Daniel Thouin, Sébastien Grenier, and Hichem Khalfa. The group released the debut studio album Adult Entertainement (2014), establishing its presence in the Quebec music scene. In 2016, the band issued the studio album Pain and Bliss, followed by the EP Freewheelin' Walking (2018), which won the ADISQ award for Best English Album of the Year and the GAMIQ award for Album/EP Work of the Year in 2019. The group's 2020 studio album Any Day Now includes the tracks “Turn Up The Sound” and “Gameplay”. The band's achievements also include winning two Independent Music Awards in 2019 for the song “Priceless” and the EP Freewheelin' Walking, as well as a GAMIQ award for World Album of the Year in 2017.
