Flashlight Brown, a Canadian punk rock band from Guelph, was formed in 1995, with a core lineup of vocalist and guitarist Matt Hughes, bassist and vocalist Fil Bucchino, drummer Tim Thomson, and guitarist Mike Conroy. Originally known as Flashlight, the group released the cassette Blindsided in 1996 and their self‑titled album in 1997 on Stomp Records, followed by Running Season in 1999. In 2001, they added “Brown” to their name and issued another self‑titled album. After signing with Hollywood Records, they released My Degeneration in 2003 and Blue in 2006, touring and performing at Warped Tour, Lollapalooza, and the Toronto Show. The band ceased activity in 2007, with members pursuing solo projects.
