Alluthus is the solo project of Joseph Madril III—a Las Vegas native who creates instrumental tracks using pre-recorded samples mixed with his own recordings. Madril made his debut in 2017 as Verso, releasing the single "Urban Groove." With Isaac Shea, he released the soundtrack album LIFE, an orchestral-electronic album for a video game that never saw a release.
In 2020, Madril co-founded a record label with Joshua Herron and Sophie Border. He then adopted the name Alluthus and put out his first EP, Golden Days. His debut album, Memory Lane, appeared in May 2020, featuring alternative rock tracks like "Aura," "Lost," "Golden Days," and "Persona." Later in the year, Alluthus followed up with the Undertow EP, which fused pop and electronic genres.
February 2022 brought his self-titled second album, including 18 songs spanning electronic and alternative rock styles. In June, he released the compilation album 20, mixing fresh material with previous works. He ended the year with the rock single "FLARE," later included on the HANABI EP in 2023.
December 2024 saw the arrival of a Christmas EP, and in March 2025, Alluthus unveiled his first greatest hits collection, Greatest "Hits" - Vol. 1. Soon after, he celebrated five years of Memory Lane by reissuing the album with updated, newly recorded and remastered versions of its tracks.
