Phillips’ intense creative involvement (self-directing her videos and co-producing her music) along with her experimental/industrial take on modern R&B has drawn comparisons to Björk, Arca and SOPHIE. Curating her vision, she has assembled a who’s-who ensemble cast of the underground UK experimental scene with previous remixes from Object Blue, Royce Wood Junior and Loraine James.
Rebecca's latest track ‘Just Pray’ is a dark R&B banger combining pioneering Timbaland style production from Drew MacFarlane (Glass Animals) with Rebecca’s ‘helium-infused’ vocals, creating an obsessively hypnotising track that she describes as “exploring dark sexuality and the cumulative harm that ensues when intimate expectations are weaponised by the person closest to you”.
