Catena Collapse, an emocore band, was formed in 2002 in Norway. The group released their debut demo CD that same year. In 2005, they released Nesting and Hibernation, followed by A Trøndelag / Massachusetts Transatlantic Split Seven Inch Record Collaboration (2006) in collaboration with the American band Sinaloa. In 2007, the band released Rai Rai Rai / Outback Songs. The band's style blended emotional vocals with aggressive sounds, reminiscent of classic emo and screamo bands from the late 1980s and early 1990s.
