MX Machine is an American thrash metal band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1985. The group was founded by bassist Diego Negrete, vocalist Lee Kaiser, guitarist Mitch Rellas, and drummer Sam Monarez, who was quickly replaced by Danny Anaya. Under the direction of producer Bill Metoyer, they recorded their first demo, Fatal Mistake, which led to a contract with Restless Records in 1987. They released their debut studio album, Manic Panic, in 1988. The song "Psychotic Killing Machine" appeared on the soundtrack for the film Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, while "Kick You in the Face" was featured in Under the Boardwalk. The band began working on a second album in 1989, but disbanded later that year after their record label dropped them. In 2007, Negrete revived the group as vocalist and bassist alongside guitarists Larry Arrieta and Kristen Meyers, and drummer Joe Montelongo. They released the single "Dogtown" in 2011 and worked with Metoyer to record the EP Devils Highway, which was released in 2012.
