Takács Dorina, professionally known as Дeva, is a Hungarian singer, songwriter, and electronic musician. During her childhood, she participated in a choir and performed folk dances, and she attended an elementary school specialized in music. She later developed an interest in electronic, techno, and ambient music during her secondary school years. She attended Eötvös Loránd University, where she majored in music culture and religious studies, but postponed her studies to focus on her music career. In 2016, she was introduced to Balázs Zságer of the band Žagar, and began assisting them with administrative tasks. When Zságer established the independent record label Move Gently Records, she joined the company and began writing and producing songs in her own home studio. Originally intending to use the stage name Veda, she ultimately chose Дeva, which she later realized has multiple meanings across different languages. Her debut studio album, Csillag, was released on January 20, 2022, earning critical acclaim for her layered, choir-like vocals and dramatic structure. The release won the 2022 Music Moves Europe Award and the Petőfi Music Award for Female Performer of the Year. Takács followed with her second studio album, Avar, in 2025, which featured the music video for her track “Kis Kece”. The album subsequently won the Fonogram Award for electronic musical album of the year in 2026.
