Tammany Hall NYC, an American rock band formed in 1997 in New York City, started their career playing local clubs. Their debut album, Getawayland, was released in November 1999 under Glass Records, followed by the acoustic album Back in the Bottle in 2000. Notable songs include "Cindy" (2002) and "Wait for You", which were featured in television shows like Scrubs and Sex and the City. Their third album, Buddy (2003), returned to a punk and alternative rock sound. That same year, they also released the soundtrack for the documentary Eat This New York. The band's fourth studio album, Marathon, was released in July 2005, followed by the soundtrack for the film Into the Fire in May 2006.
