Principe Valiente, a Swedish shoegaze post-punk band based in Stockholm, was formed in 2005 and consisted of Fernando Honorato (vocals, bass) and Jimmy Ottosson (guitar). Their initial breakthrough came with an eponymous EP released in 2007. In February 2011, Principe Valiente released their debut album Principe Valiente via Paris Music, distributed by Cosmos Music Group. The music video for the single "The Night" (2010) topped the Pop10 video chart on German national television in weeks 47 and 49 of 2010. In 2013, the band toured extensively throughout Europe, including a performance at the WGT, the world's largest goth music festival, and opened for Peter Murphy at Debaser Medis in Stockholm. Their second album Choirs of Blessed Youth was released in 2014. Subsequent releases include Oceans (2017), Barricades (2022), and In this Light (2024).
