Karina Vismara was an Argentine singer and songwriter born on January 9, 1990, in Balcarce. She began her musical journey as a child under the guidance of her father, who was also a guitarist and singer. At age 19, she moved to the United Kingdom to study at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Vismara released her debut album Casa del viento in 2015. In 2019, she followed up with her second studio album Selva. That year, she performed at notable events such as Cosquín Rock and La Bienal. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Vismara released several videos from home, including a collaboration on “Sola por la ciudad”. Her song “Montaña” was featured in the British series Long Way Up in 2020. She passed away on August 10, 2022, in Buenos Aires due to complications from renal failure and cancer.
