Flairck was a Dutch musical ensemble that formed in 1976. The group was established by Erik Visser and Peter Weekers, with a name that combined the French word for flair and the Dutch word for a nimble-fingered hand. Their debut studio album, Variaties op een dame (1978), achieved platinum status in the Netherlands and received three awards including an Edison. The group’s discography includes the studio recordings Gevecht met de engel (1980), Circus (1981), and Bal masqué (1984). They collaborated with musicians such as Georges Moustaki and the singer Maggie Reilly for the project Sleight of Hand (1985). The ensemble performed extensively across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. In 2022, the group announced they would no longer perform under the name Flairck and began performing as Motyk.
