Earthtone9 is an English alternative metal band from Nottingham. The group's initial breakthrough came with their debut album Lo-Def(inition) Discord, released in 1998, via Copro Records. This album garnered critical acclaim, including favorable reviews in Terrorizer and Metal Hammer, as well as a five-star rating from Kerrang!. Following extensive touring, Earthtone9 released their second album Off Kilter Enhancement in 1999. In 2000, they released Arc'tan'gent, voted the 16th best album of that year by Metal Hammer. The band disbanded in early 2002 but reunited in May 2010 for a series of gigs and new releases, including the EP For Cause And Consequence in 2011 and their fourth full-length album IV in 2013. Earthtone9's fifth album, In Resonance Nexus, was released in 2024.
