Pierre Leith, known professionally as Capitaine No, was born on April 16, 1949, and is a Quebec composer, musician, and performer. His music career began with the release of his debut album, Capitaine Nô, in 1975, which featured collaborations with Christian Simard from Morse Code. Following this, he released Difficile in 1976, continuing to build his reputation in the country music genre. In 1981, Capitaine No released Capitaine Nô et le Bing Bang Band, showcasing his evolving sound and style. His album Cocoman (1991) was nominated for Album of the Year - Rock at the ADISQ Gala in 1992. Other notable releases include Evolution in 2010, highlighting his enduring career. Throughout his career, Capitaine No is known for songs such as "Personne ne m'aime" and "Ville de rien", which span over 20 minutes.
