Trio of marimbas, vibraphone, and more if the mood strikes. A vibrant experience between classical and minimalist pop.
Founded in Lyon in 2010, Trio SR9 - Paul Changarnier, Nicolas Cousin and Alexandre Esperet - are three percussionists who make wood, metal and crystal sing. Across marimbas, vibraphone and glockenspiel, they reimagine the great repertoire, from Bach to Glass, with detours into contemporary minimalist pop.
From Déjà Vu, their reworking of pop hits with guests including Camille and Camélia Jordana, to Venus Rising with Kyrie Kristmanson, the trio keeps chasing new resonances. On record and on stage, the signature stays the same: restraint, vibration, and an almost choreographic motion around the bars.
From the Théâtre du Châtelet to BOZAR in Brussels, Boston to London, Trio SR9 carries this experience around the world.
