Spinning Coin, a Scottish indie rock band formed in Glasgow in 2014, gained initial recognition with their debut cassette released in 2015 by Fuzzkill Records. This early release caught the attention of Geographic Music, an imprint of Domino Records run by Stephen Pastel, leading to their signing. Their first album, Permo, was released on November 10, 2017, followed by Hyacinth on February 21, 2020. Notable singles include "Albany/Sides" (2016), "Raining on Hope Street" (2017), and "Visions at the Stars" (2019). Spinning Coin has also notably toured with Teenage Fanclub and recorded with Edwyn Collins.
