Aereogramme, a Scottish alternative rock band from Glasgow, was formed in 1998 with Craig B. (vocals, guitar), Iain Cook (guitar, programming), Campbell McNeil (bass), and Martin Scott (drums). In 1999, the band released two 7" singles before signing to Chemikal Underground in early 2000. Their first album, A Story in White, was released in 2001, followed by Sleep & Release in 2003. The band then moved to Undergroove Records for their third album, Seclusion, released in 2004. They returned to Chemikal Underground for their final album, My Heart Has a Wish That You Would Not Go, which was released in Japan in 2006 and in Europe and the U.S. in 2007. Vocalist Craig B. revealed that the delay between releases was partly due to losing his singing voice for six months. In May 2007, Aereogramme announced their disbandment, citing financial struggles and creative exhaustion.
