Heather Peace, born Heather Peace on 16 June 1975 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, is an English singer and actress whose career spans music and television. She began piano lessons at six and guitar in her teens, later receiving classical training and studying acting at Manchester Metropolitan University. Peace’s first recorded single, "Better Than You", was released on 19 April 2012, following a period of vocal development and songwriting. She subsequently released the single "The Rose" in 2000, which entered the UK charts at Number 58, and Fairytales on 21 May 2012, reaching Number 43 on the UK Albums Chart and Number 9 on the independent chart. In 2013 she issued the single "Fight For" and a special edition of Fairytale, and in 2014 released the album The Thin Line on 9 June, supported by a nationwide tour. Her 2016 EP Come Home was launched through a successful crowdfunding campaign, achieving a release date of 8 April 2016. Throughout her career, Peace has toured Australia twice, performed at the Sydney Mardi Gras, and collaborated with producers Nigel Wright and James Lewis. Her work has earned recognition on UK charts and contributed to her standing as a prominent LGBTQIA+ rights activist.
