Born in Saint-Hyacinthe, Canada, in the second half of the 1980s, Maxime Gabriel grew up in a music-loving family and began rhyming in his neighborhood. One thing led to another, and the young rapper sharpened his punchlines, culminating in the release of his first album in 2005, Parler au nom d'une nation. With its emphasis on samples and lyrics, this first fourteen-track album established him as a key figure in the French rap scene, close to the likes of Mafia K'1 Fry and Sinik. The latter then collaborated with the Canadian in 2019 on "Enfants terribles", in 2020 on his album Huitième art, then in 2022 on the album Niksi. In the meantime, Farfadet has made a name for himself in his homeland, gradually establishing himself as a key figure in the hip-hop movement. After Un autre monde unveiled in 2009, Farfadet presents Jungle Music with Rymz in 2011. Known for his collaboration with Souldia, he presents with F.A.R. F what is considered his first official solo album. With major Canadian rap tracks such as "Quoi d'bon?" (2013) and "Champion du monde " (2013), his collaboration with French artists Sinik and Seth Gueko gives him greater international visibility. With his album Dans le futur, released in 2022, Farfadet marks twenty years in the hip-hop business and opens up to more contemporary trap sounds, making him an ever more influential figure in Canadian music.
