Wings, a Malaysian rock band, was formed in 1985 in Kuala Lumpur and included Ahmad Azhar bin Othman (Awie) on lead vocals, Kamarullizam bin Kamarudin (Syam) on lead guitar, Samsaidi Haji Ulong Idris (Eddie) on bass, and Azmi Hashim (Black) on drums. The band gained early recognition with their heavy rock vocals and commercially successful singles such as "Taman Rashidah Utama" and "Misteri Mimpi Syakila". Their debut album, Belenggu Irama, was released in 1987, followed by Hukum Karma in 1988 and Teori Domino in 1990. The band's performance at the 4th Anugerah Juara Lagu in 1989 was a significant milestone, with "Taman Rashidah Utama" and "Misteri Mimpi Syakila" qualifying for the finals. Wings continued to release albums throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, including Bazooka Penaka (1993) and Naga Kramat (2002).
