Chroma Key is a band of Kevin Moore. After leaving Dream Theater, Moore relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he began working on his first album, Dead Air for Radios. Released in 1998 under Fight Evil Records, the album featured detailed keyboard sounds and an emotional tone. In 2000, Moore released You Go Now, recorded in Los Angeles before moving to Costa Rica. During this period, he also produced a bi-weekly radio program for Radio for Peace International. His album, Graveyard Mountain Home (2004), was inspired by the public domain film Age 13. Moore modeled the album as a soundtrack, composing nearly an hour of music to accompany the slowed-down film. Since 2015, Kevin Moore has used a Patreon page for crowdfunding song releases under Chroma Key.
