Pogo Pops, a pop rock band from Bergen, Norway, was established in 1987 under the name The Doomsville Boys. Initially a trio, they released an EP containing six songs in 1989. After Domenic O'Fahey joined in 1990, the band changed its name to Pogo Pops and gained recognition as part of the Bergen Wave movement. Led by Frank Hammersland, Pogo Pops released their debut album Pop Trip in 1992, followed by Crash in 1993. The band achieved critical acclaim but moderate commercial success, earning the Spellemannprisen award for Pop Band in 1993 for Crash. Hammersland dissolved Pogo Pops in 1996 and later formed the band Popium. In 2006, Pogo Pops reunited for a series of concerts and released several albums, including Darling Emm, Northern Girl in 2012 and Daylight in 2022.
