Spearmint is a British indie pop ensemble from London established in 1995. The group consists of the musicians Simon Calnan, Ronan Larvor, Shirley Lee, and James Parsons. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized as indie pop and post-Britpop. The ensemble was founded by Lee, Calnan, Larvor, and the musician Martin Talbot. Talbot achieved professional recognition for departing the group after five shows and was replaced by Parsons in September 1995. Their recording career began with the compilation recording Songs for the Colour Yellow (1998) and the debut studio recording A Week Away (1999) released on the label hitBACK. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for dedicating the album to Talbot following his death. Their discography included the studio recording Oklahoma (2000), the studio recording A Different Lifetime (2001), and the studio recording My Missing Days (2003). Spearmint achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Holland Park (2021) and the studio recording This Candle Is For You (2023). The studio recording This Candle Is For You achieved professional recognition for being ranked number 53 on the list of the top 100 albums of the year by the magazine Mojo. They achieved professional recognition for their music being referenced in the film (500) Days of Summer in 2009.
