Larry Davis, born December 4, 1936, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, was an American electric Texas blues guitarist whose career spanned several decades. After learning drums, bass guitar, and guitar, he entered the recording scene in the mid‑1950s with singles such as "Texas Flood" and "Angels in Houston" on Duke Records, following a partnership with Fenton Robinson. A 1972 motorcycle accident left him temporarily paralyzed, but he returned with the 1982 Rooster Blues album Funny Stuff, produced by Oliver Sain, and later the 1987 Pulsar LP I Ain’t Beggin’ Nobody. In 1992, Bullseye Blues released Sooner or Later, showcasing his vocal and guitar style influenced by Albert King. Davis died of cancer on April 19, 1994, at age 57.
