Damien Richard Lovelock, born 21 May 1954 in Amersham, England, was an Australian singer who grew up in Sydney after his parents returned to Australia. He joined the hard‑rock band The Celibate Rifles in 1980 as lead vocalist and songwriter, contributing to the group’s catalog. In 1988, he released his debut solo album, It's a Wig Wig Wig Wig World, followed by the 1991 album Fishgrass; singles such as "Disco Inferno" and "The Dalai Lama" highlighted his lyrical range.
